SHIVA NEPAL Music Teaching

Most school students in Nepal dream about playing a musical instrument, but never get the chance. Nepal's cultural heritage is steeped in music of all kinds. Tradionalfolk music, bands for weddings and other religious ceremonies, to modern rock and even heavy metal are now thriving industries, yet music is concidered an extra-curricular subject. The core academic focus, and the chalk and talk rote learning means that many students fail or abscond school completely. SHIVA NEPAL tries to rectify the situation by bringing instruments into schools and teaching enjoyable fun lessons.
